HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A benefit is being held for a man who was murdered outside of a bar in Hamilton.
The benefit for Donnell "Big D" Holland will be held at Fairwood Elementary School on Saturday, January 12 from 7pm - 11pm.
The adults only event will feature a spaghetti dinner, silent auction, raffle baskets, baked goods and live entertainment.
The deadline to purchase tickets has passed. All proceeds will go to the funeral expenses and to Donnell's children.
Myron Lamar Doby, aka 'Cowboy' turned himself into the Butler County Sheriff's Department on New Years Eve, after a warrant was issued for his arrest in Holland's murder. Donnell Holland's body was found in the parking lot of the Grub Pub Bar on Hancock Avenue on December 28.
According to his obituary, Donnell graduated from Hamilton High School where he was a captain of the football team. He was the assistant football coach for Little Blue Football Organization, and a member & officer of Elks Pure Gold Lodge #591.
Fairwood Elementary School is located at 281 North fair avenue in Hamilton.
Doby has plead not guilty to the murder charge. His trial is scheduled to start January 23, 2013.
