HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Landmarks of the world will be showcased in Hamilton in the form of ice. The Ice Fest will make its return in Downtown Hamilton on Jan. 18-19, 2013.
Several local and international carvers will be on hand to showcase their talents in ice carving. Brady Lantz of Artic Diamond heads up the team of sculptors and promises to deliver a superior performance. Visitors will see famous landmarks such as, Mt. Rushmore, Taj Mahal, Cinderella’s Castle, Tyler Davidson Fountain and our very own Butler County Courthouse along with many more.
Sue Samoviski, of City of Sculture, had this to say about the event, “We are once again overwhelmed by the generosity of this Hamilton community, this event is free and accessible to everyone in the community. People come to us and ask how can they help and then they answer the call. One of the unique things about Ice Fest is that people of all ages can enjoy the sculptures; it’s truly a family event. It’s heartwarming to watch the faces on the children.”
Activities at Ice Fest will include the Fire and Ice Gala, live ice carving, dog ssled races, children's putt putt golf, children's story time and more.
